Prior to Marlin, Mr. Bayerd worked at Golden Gate Capital, where he focused on software and business services sectors. He also worked in the special situations division of Oaktree Capital Management and began his career at Deutsche Bank, working on leveraged finance and financial sponsor mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Bayerd holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
